This page explains how to delete your account for Preppery, the meal planning app from Vandra Labs Pty Ltd. You can request deletion at any time, for any reason, at no charge.
Uninstalling Preppery from your device does not delete your account or the data stored on our servers. Follow the steps below to request deletion.
Steps to delete your account in the app
If you still have access to Preppery, this is the fastest way to delete your account. Deletion takes effect when you confirm the request. There is no waiting or cooling-off period.
- Open Preppery and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings by tapping the menu icon on the Home screen.
- Open Account by tapping your name and email at the top of the Settings drawer.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account.
- Enter your password, then tap Delete account to confirm. This cannot be undone.
If you signed in with Google or Apple and do not have a Preppery password, or you cannot complete deletion in the app, use the email request below.
Steps to request deletion by email
Use this option if you cannot sign in, no longer have the app, or cannot complete deletion in the app.
- Email support@preppery.app from the email address associated with your Preppery account.
- Use a subject such as "Delete my Preppery account" and clearly ask us to delete your account and associated data.
- We may ask you to verify that you own the account before we process the request.
We process verified email requests within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
When your Preppery account is deleted, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with that account, including:
- Account information: your name, email address, hashed password, profile image, and sign-in sessions.
- User content: recipes you created or imported, meal schedules, shopping lists, and onboarding answers stored with your account.
- Households you created: the household and its memberships and recipes you shared there. Other members will lose access to that household.
- Households you joined: your membership is removed. The household and other members' data remain.
Account deletion is permanent. Once deleted, your account and associated content cannot be recovered.
Data that is kept, and for how long
- Legal, security, and dispute records: we may retain limited records as required or permitted by law - for example to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain security and fraud-prevention logs. We keep these only as long as needed for those purposes.
- De-identified analytics: we may retain product usage and diagnostic data in de-identified or aggregated form that can no longer reasonably identify you.
- Other people's accounts: we cannot delete information stored in another user's account. If someone else has their own copy of a recipe or other content, that copy stays with them.
- App Store and Google Play purchases: we do not store your payment card details. Apple, Google, and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) may retain purchase and entitlement records under their own policies. Deleting your Preppery account does not cancel a subscription - see below.
We do not keep a separate copy of your account after deletion for a cooling-off period. In-app deletion is immediate once you confirm. Email requests are completed after we verify your identity, usually within 30 days.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Preppery account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. To stop billing, cancel the subscription in your Google Play or Apple account settings, or use Manage subscription in the Preppery app before you delete your account.
